    • Damainion Ewell was born on April 21, 1978 near Washington, D.C. to an absentee father and a drug addicted mother. Life in his early years was a journey of survival, poverty, despair and sheer hopelessness. Being molested at age seven by two of his uncles and suffering through other traumatic forms of abuse, Damainion meandered about life in a confused state. With no parenting readily available, he turned to alcohol and sex as a form of escape. By age 12, Damainion was a borderline alcoholic, drinking heavily as he traveled to school on the bus everyday. The drinking addiction soon turned to sexual addiction, as he struggled with his sexual identity for a major part of his teen years.

The demons that sought to destroy Damainion would pursue him into his early 20's. In August, 2000, he married the former Sonja Renee Lord and relocated to San Diego. A married man at age 22, Damainion had not ridden himself of the issues that decayed his personality for so many years. A mere shell of the man that God intended him to be, Damainion began to pursue interests that would ultimately lead to more anguish. Writing was a gift that was expected to glorify the LORD, but Damainion was a prideful unbeliever. He would become a world-renowned entertainment journalist, interviewing and sharing stages with Hollywood and music's most recognized personalities. As Damainion's ill-perceived grandiloquence and popularity grew, the rottenness of unresolved childhood issues took precedent in his life once more.

One night in December, 2004, Damainion found himself in the most painful circumstance of his life. Still living in unbelief, God cornered him and lovingly entrapped him with nowhere left to run. Unwilling to fight for his image anymore, Damainion tearfully submitted his soul to Jesus Christ. In early 2005, Damainion took a God-imposed hiatus from his journalistic endeavors to concentrate on his family and other personal matters.

Having written for such well-known mediums as AOL.com, Allhiphop.com, and BET.com, Damainion is on the brink of his writing comeback, with a singular mission in mind: to glorify the name of Jesus Christ with every word that he writes. He currently writes a weekly column titled "Therapy Sessions," a blog dedicated to magnifying the LORD with all of his soul. Damainion is also working on two Christian books simultaneously, with an anticipated 2008 release date. He is also enjoying life with his beautiful wife of seven years, Sonja, and their three children: Tiffany, Damainion, Jr. (DJ) and Shelley-Ann.
