I am HENREICH F. DE LOS SANTOS SR. An Electrical Engineer by profession. But, a lowly, underprivileged, low-waged government worker at the City Engineer's Office, Province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. I was born last November 19, 1963. That makes me 46 this coming November 2009. I am a widower. My wife, Myrna, died September 12, 2002. She succumbed to the first attack of myocardial infraction. She left me with one daughter, Lea Myrhen. Lea, as her firends fondly call her, was born last December 3, 1993. She is now a Fourth Year High School student at the Gingoog City Junior College. On the year 2005, I found a wonderful lady, who gave me HENREICH JR. But, on the year 2006 we separated due to financial reasons. Dodong Henreich is presently with his grandma at Bukidnon, while her mother Edna is presently in Taiwan, working as a Caregiver. At the moment, I am with my daughter Lea. There are only two of us at home which is located at Barangay 17, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. I grew mostly in Iligan City, a neighboring city. On the year 1993, I was married here in Gingoog. At work, I am assigned as Electrical Inspector. But, it is my other functions that interests me. I handle mostly all the communications, paper, and documentation works, including technical reports and the like. Basically, I'm a writer and a thinker. But, I had successfully mixed it with the very technical tasks. People trust me, in almost all places that I set foot in. Modesty aside, they dubbed me as "Archangel". This is because I always found time to help and, as they say, I have an aptitude and a skill in counseling. Maybe so, because I like to listen and I know how to deal people from all walks of life. I had always been a writer. When I was in High School, with an old guitar, I started writing my own songs. This is a thing I missed so much. I had never touch a guitar since then. I also started scribbling rhymes and verses when I was in school. A thing which I had also abandoned due to so many things that I had to attend in my life. I returned draining ink and read a lot when I reached 40. I had to admit, although most of my friends call me the "walking dictionary", I have a very limited vocabulary. The truth, I don't even like my poems. When I read them, I always had the feeling to rewrite them. When I discovered the beauty of the internet, it opened a horizon for me. An outlet, where I can post my humble works. I don't care what other people say about them. But, to be appreciated of a thing that is truly ours is very elating and fulfilling. For me, my works are testimonies of my existence. That's why I pricelessly value my friends, especially my poetry friends in the net. Especially that they are located in various part of the world. To have someone who knew you everywhere, I think, is a great achievement. I had been working with City Government of Gingoog for 15 years now. Due to my writing skill, I was recruited as one of the information officers. In short, I became a journalist. I have written a handful of articles, ranging from features, news, and the like. Right now, I'm working on 2 new poems. I had been at it for 2 to 3 weeks now. So, that's it. In a nutshell, that's about me.
