Spring Song

Spring Song

The soil warms with the rising Sun,

Seed in water become as one.

Rhizomes and roots grow in the earth,

Preparing a plan to show their worth.

New buds peek into the coming day,

As the blooms of a crocus show the way.

Spring is coming and you know it will,

Displayed with a bright yellow daffodil.

The trees so bare from winters cold,

sprout buds of green and growth so bold.

As to cover the sky with verdant leaves,

that back-and-forth with wind will heave.

This early song of spring is blessed,

With the finding of a Robin’s nest.

The days of summer will come along,

but now it's time to sing spring’s song.

Another good one for it made me think of those warm spring days that are coming. Plus I love nature poems that are well versed. I wrote one about the summer on here. (On a Summer's Day)
