Colored Thorns

                 COLORED THORNS

She sunk into the abyss she felt the soothing relief of nothingness swallow her finally at peace. When did it begin? When did she lose her soul and the one she used to be?  She was no longer alive.  She had been dead inside for so long she no longer feels anything, so whatever they do to her doesn’t matter anymore.  She is just a shell that seems to keep living for some reason. Why do they just not end it already.  She was ready to go, but they pull her back for more, just going through the motions.  Why even bother pull her back.  Just leave her be.  She has done nothing to you.  All she wanted was peace, but there was none to be found.  Sinking back down at last.  Thank the stars they have finally left her be.  NO!!!!! don’t bring me back , leave me, you don’t want me so why do you keep pulling me out.  There was nothing here for her and no where to go.  She did not belong anywhere. There were those who would pretend, but she was not that insane to not know what they wanted of her. Just take it, don’t cover it with flowers because I know they are just colored thorns.

" We can be sad that the roses have thorns or be happy that the thorns have a rose".

This happened to my brother -- was revived twice in 1 day from another bout of alcohol poisoning. He spent the next 6 months alienating anyone he ever knew, bought 2 bottles of whiskey, and died watching TV. It's not always "thank you God, for another chance..."
