On With the Show
This woman that I hated is dead and gone
I thought the thought of me missing her would be slim to none
Now i find myself remembering good times
Like days she made that juice with lemon and limes

This old woman is gone from us
Memories fade and move on from us
She will be remembered but not a tear will be shed
No more carrying her from her bed

She was my grandma and I will love her for that
Didn't like the color of my skin I'll forgive her for that
Took care of her at the end of her time
Now I sit and wonder whos the next in line

I love my family they are all I have
Lucky I am I have what a lot of others couldn't have
Not wanting to have to bury another family member
Thats my biggest fear at my center

Alone I may be left when they all go
But until then its on with the show......

I like it! I am approching that age where I ask, "Who's next?" But like you wrote, "...until then it's on with the show."

Very good musing. You are realizing emotional truths that sometimes the death of a family member bring out.
