Untitled Writing
You ask me
" How am I?"

And I grasp at straws
Struggling to find the right words

Should I lie?

My fingers are numb
And I cannot find any strength

My heart hurts
Because it's time to move on

Can I cry?

Only at my own inconveniance
I want to say that I miss you

Can't you kiss me on the forehead
Can't you accept this decision

I lie.

Of course everything is fine
And I will be home soon

I must be coming down with a cold
Hasn't the weather been strange?

No tears are left.

My well of emotion is all dried up
My fingers shake but you don't notice

You walk away
You say nothing

I still miss you.

Good job. I understand it completely, on both the lighter and deeper levels... like SapphireCat said, powerful (that's the best word to describe it).

Wow, I could really feel the emotion in this. Powerful.
