Brief Summary
Orientation for my new employer was today. Bright and early at 8:30am. I was almost late! Oops! Morning time seems to go faster... agreed?
Tomorrow morning is going to be rough, too. I didn't have to take my son to the sitter this morning.. my husband watched him.. so it was breezy. But it's not the case for the rest of the week. 6am. alarm clock- wake up call. Eeewwww! It starts scary.
I didn't get a feel for the actual job yet.. today was more insurance and benefits reviews, HR info, etc. We toured the facility, and had lunch with our new managers. My manager seems cool and somewhat laid back- She said, as long as you do your job, it's peachy.
I get a little cubical area- on a main hall way- near the window. Window seats!!! YEA! :) I can't complain.

Anyways.. I am exhausted. I didn't get much sleep last night.. I stay up too late all the time.. it's normal for me. But, when you're sitting for several hrs, listening to a presentation with boring slides... you get a little tired. I almost nodded off a few times.
One good thing I've noticed so far.. a lot of the systems are somewhat like Cashland. It shouldn't be too hard for me to get this. I want to be great. I am going to study for ass off... If it's a good company and good place to work (seems that way so far) I want to progress and move up. Challenges stimulate our brain. I feel more motivated and balanced when I have goals and focus. Priorities, challenges, dead lines... they're usually a pain in the rear, but excelling and setting goals for yourself.. give you a sense of self pride... Or something like that. Lol. I am tired. I need to get going on the nightly to do list before sleeptown.
Goodnight everyone.
Thanks for reading.
