Ascension

It was the flash of a nuclear explosion!
Your smile.
And in the aftermath,
All of my atoms were scrambled,
Rearranged
So that I was
Recreated
Solely
For you.
I dared not look your way
Again,
Until your fingers
Laid ever so gently
Beneath my chin
Turned my face to yours.
Your eyes!
Stars in an obsidian sky.
I fall.
No, I fly!
In your arms,
I fly!
