A Readiness to War part 19
The camp now back to business
In readiness for war
The Escamants gone too and frow
The armaments to store

All around a buzz excitement
As each readied for the cause
All eager to prepare themselves
Not a hint of any pause

The crater filled with movement
On this final peaceful day
Tomorrow these stout warriors
Would enter the affray

In a tent on the escarpment
Sat the leaders of each clan
They huddled round the parchment maps
To finalise the plan

Away some now short distance
Was the focus of their thought
He was still not feeling comfortable
To his servants looked distraught

Farrant sat mind still brooding
In the eastern library tower
He could not place his finger on
Though felt threat now to his power

He hadn’t eaten properly
For days now so it seemed
Gained little from the intelligence
The he had so far gleamed

Sullen in his mood now
As the day turned into night
He went to bed oblivious
Of now what was sure his plight
