Arranged
The needle on the fuel gauge
Was just above the red
She, had many miles to go yet
Before, she would be fed.
.

Discarded by her husband
Left desolate, bereft
With nights and nights, of conflict
Before she up and left.
.

Her tears, obscured the way-forth
Though, she had no time to stop
She wished, that she had stocked up
Before, she left their shop.
.

She obeyed, her parents wishes
When they said, "she should be wed"
Though, they had no way of knowing
The demands, made in that bed.
.
She had tried, to do her duty
To follow, traditions ways
Though she broke, at what he, put her through
For days and days and days.
.

The rain was, hard and heavy
Pounding down, upon her screen
She thought back, to the happy years
When she, was just a teen.
.

The lorry then, before her
From nowhere, so it seemed
As the car, went through, it's tailgate
She simply sat and screamed
