Far, far away

Far, far away and under an unknown star

There’s a world that’s now in turmoil

Where the air is tainted, foul

From the poisoning of the soil

A once proud and healthy populace

Now left struggling to breath

A growing hopeless anger

That continues now to seethe

They were given many chances

An abundant wealth, resource

Though they squandered it quite flippantly

On pointless shows of force

Now they struggle in the aftermath

Then choke upon the fumes

The rotting stench of failure

Each breath, now strong perfumes

They are destined for oblivion

We must learn from their mistake

Then cherish all that’s given

And think hard each choice we make
