Once Upon A Time
Once upon a time
In a land far, far away
Was a place they called reality
Where the children still could play

No hookers on the corners
Or pimps stood bold as brass
Just endless fields of bobbing corn
And acres of crisp green grass

No evil hidden perverts
Or dodgy internet sites
The bogey man beneath the bed
The worst of any frights

No pointless wars
To gain some oil
Just fathers off to work each day
To do some honest toil

No pushers at the school gate
With wraps instead of sweats
A penny mix of chewy things
The only promised treats

No fear of all the lunatics
Intent on causing grief
A sandy Punch and Judy
The only thought of thief

Once upon a time
In a land far, far away
Lies a goal that we should strive for
A place we all should stay
