Sally
Sally woke quite early
There was a knock at her front door
The postman standing brazenly
For a signature to store

She clutched the given envelope
Then retreated to her room
She opened it and read the text
Then descended into gloom

It seems she owes the landlord
For some months and months of rent
She called her good friend Carry
In a need to somehow vent

She lost her job some months ago
There was no success as yet
She had begged all the authorities
There was nothing she could get

The streets were just too much for her
So she scanned the pills she had
She left this earth quite peacefully
Though it’s still a little sad
