The clan as One part 16

Farrant read the letter that he had read

Three times before

If what it said bore any truth

It would mean an all out war

His arrogance as ever

Made him cast it from his thought

If not his mood would worsen

He was already overwrought

His servants were avoiding him

They had seen these moods before

And knew the wrath that was pent up

Then what then was in store

He paced the empty corridors

Knowing something wasn’t right

Though still he had no real knowledge

Of the closely drawing might

As they reached the foot of Azcar

Their track was sudden blocked

From rocks and trees and bushes

Fellow Clansmen eager flocked

A cheering went into the sky

As each joyous so to greet

They joined to make the final climb

To the appointed Canyon meet

As they passed the Canyons mighty lip

Each gasped at what they saw

Many thousands of their kinsmen

Still arriving hundreds more

Grantor sat in awe at this great sight

A tear quick wiped away

In all his life he couldn’t hope

For what he witnessed here this day
