NessaMonroe

I’m humming—

            Vibrating—

                        Wasting for you.

      I know that I shouldn’t,

            But I cling to you.

I say that I won’t,

    But I know it’s not true;

 And deep down inside,

       I intend to.

I’m sorry—

I’m sorry—

I know that it’s wrong.

      I’ve been turning to you

For far, far too long.

In my deepest of hearts,

I wish you were gone;

     And inside of my bones,

         I wish I were strong.

            Well what does it take

            To get rid of you?

            When will my body

            Be tired of you?

I’m sorry—

            I’m sorry—

             I keep letting them down.

I’m trying—

            I’m trying—

              To stick around.
